A Bitcoin private key is generated by using a cryptographically secure random number generator to produce a 256-bit random number, which is then converted into a string of characters that represents the private key; essentially, a Bitcoin wallet software generates a random number and transforms it into a usable private key through mathematical calculations, ensuring its uniqueness and security

The Best and most secure way to check if a Bitcoin private key is valid is to import it into a Bitcoin wallet like Electrum or Bitcoin core wallet and then try to sign a small transaction. Valid Bitcoin private keys will import successfully and display the public address.
